Job summary

The Colorado Department of Revenue’s Licensing Unit seeks a Licensing Coordinator to oversee licensing and regulatory tasks for business applications, renewals, verifications, compliance and training. The role requires strong decision-making, analysis and organization to manage multiple complex tasks and sensitive information.

This position emphasizes training and procedural updates, with second-line support across divisions and the front counter as needed, supporting public and regulated

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience in higher level administrative support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a background check and tax background investigation prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage licensing processes, including follow-ups on incomplete applications.
• Handle fingerprint retrieval, tribal tax and license verifications as part of licensing checks.
• Enter requisitions, process AVC payments, and provide administrator support on Commission days.
• Develop training materials and train licensing staff; update procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and update division procedures and employee manuals.
• Assist with checking in business applications to ensure completeness and processing; back-up support at the front counter.
