Job summary

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment seeks a Licensure and Certification Technician to support licensing and survey processes for healthcare facilities across Colorado. Based in Denver, this role ensures compliance with federal and state rules and assists data transfer across systems.

You will use Word, Excel and Google applications, prepare license and certification records, respond to provider inquiries, and help develop workflows to process high volumes efficiently.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant experience in processing licensing and certification actions.
• Combination of related education and experience equal to three (3) years in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or closely related.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of licensing and certification actions including initial licensing, renewal licensing, and other certification actions for all provider types.
• Verify data accuracy and maintain records; support on-site inspections coordination.
• Develop and implement workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy of licensure processes.
• Respond to provider questions and assist with electronic licensure and survey applications.
• Prepare and maintain correspondence and reports for Program Managers and Fiscal Staff.
