Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) seeks aLicensed Registered Nurse to join the Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division as a survey team member. You will perform nursing observations, medication pass tasks, and apply federal/state regulations to evaluate facility compliance.

Onsite work at the Denver office with travel across Colorado is expected. A Colorado residency is required and pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant health care experience or combined education/experience totaling six years.
• Current, valid RN licensure in Colorado or any state in the eNLC.
• Residency in Colorado is required for this posting.

Responsibilities

• Assess care, treatment and quality of life in health care facilities through observations, interviews, and record review.
• RN serves as a clinical resource and conducts nursing observations and medication pass tasks on the survey team.
• Write statements of deficiencies and determine appropriate regulatory citations.
• Advise facility staff and administrators on regulations and compliance.
