Producer Licensing and Appointment Technician

The Producer Licensing and Appointment Technician supports Starr’s underwriting groups by managing all producer (broker) records to ensure accuracy and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve producer (broker)-related inquiries from all Starr business units, domestic and international.
• Maintain accurate external producer records.
• Process producer appointment and termination requests.
• Review and confirm insurance producer surplus lines license details.
• Provide customer service and support to existing Starr producer partners.
• Work with internal and external management to foster carrier/producer relationships.
• Work with internal legal resources to resolve producer compliance issues.
• Assist with the maintenance of procedural documents and training materials.
• Complete projects and perform other work as assigned by management to further department and corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Commercial insurance industry experience (1-2 years) preferably with licensing and appointment knowledge.
• Very strong interpersonal/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and Salesforce.
