The City of Ocoee is seeking a Water/Wastewater Plant Operator to perform operation and maintenance of treatment facilities. Responsibilities include sampling, adjusting controls, and monitoring process parameters to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and either a Florida Class C Drinking Water or Wastewater license. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and be on-call for after-hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must hold Florida Class C Drinking Water or Wastewater license.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read meters and charts accurately and maintain records.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be on-call after hours and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Take water and wastewater samples and perform analyses.
• Adjust control devices and operate gates, valves, and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain treatment plant equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate corrective actions with staff.
• Work various shifts and be on-call as assigned.
