Job summary

Slater Infrastructure Group seeks a wastewater treatment operator to operate and maintain water treatment and testing equipment, ensuring permit compliance and plant safety. You will manage daily operations, document logs, and support a team in a fast-paced utility environment.

The role requires a GA wastewater license (Level 1–3), hands-on plant experience, strong math and reading skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class/Level 1–3 Georgia Wastewater Operator license.
• Practical experience in water treatment plant operations.
• Excellent organization and English communication skills.
• Knowledge of nomenclature and symbols in drawings.
• Ability to read operation and maintenance manuals and drawings.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to the work.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
• Maintain records and drawings relative to the work.
• Maintain effective working relationships with all department personnel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Performs water sample testing to analyze and optimize plant efficiency.
• Maintains accurate records and logs of plant operations.
• Calibrates mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Diagnoses and repairs pumps, drive units, valves and related components.
• Communicates malfunctions clearly and promptly.
• Understands equipment principles to proactively troubleshoot.
• Operates with awareness of TSS, turbidity, pH, coagulation and related chemistries.
• Team-oriented, prioritizes daily tasks and safety.
• Uses Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe to document operations.
• Maintains organization and housekeeping; performs other duties as assigned.
