Job summary

Inframark is seeking a licensed Wastewater Operator to join our team, responsible for operating municipal wastewater treatment plants and maintaining plant equipment. This hands-on role requires field testing, monitoring, and adherence to safety practices.

You will manage daily processes, document flows, respond to callouts, and train others as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of water/wastewater operations experience are required; Alabama Class III/IV license or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of water/wastewater operations experience.
• Alabama Class III or IV Wastewater Operator license (or eligibility); CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery including pumps, valves, and belts.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of water/wastewater systems.
• Document treatment processes and track daily flow and chemical usage.
• Respond to callouts and after-hours emergencies.
• Train staff on plant operations and safety practices.
• Coordinate maintenance and communicate with clients as needed.
• Work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
