Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to perform adult home health visits full-time days. You will verify plans of care, collaborate with physicians and RNs, and educate patients and caregivers in self-care while delivering compassionate care in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Current LVN license for the assigned state.
• One year of clinical LVN experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify of changes promptly.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.

Pay

• Minimum Hourly: $24.00
• Maximum Hourly: $30.00
