Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking an LVN to provide direct patient care under supervision in West Covina, CA. You will monitor vital signs, perform data collection, and administer medications for geriatric patients in a on-site clinic setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an LVN license in California, have at least 1 year of LVN experience, and be BLS certified. Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LVN program.
• Current California LVN license (Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians).
• Minimum 1 year LVN experience preferred.
• Experience with geriatric patients preferred.
• Valid BLS certification per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.

Job Overview The LVN provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The LVN tasks include, but are not limited to, vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and rendering patient care/treatments.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an LVN is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of geriatric patients are preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese highly preferred.

• Current and valid driver's license and active insurance verification

Compensation Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly
