Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician in California.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and delivering patient care and treatments. The ideal candidate has graduation from an LVN program, an active California LVN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California (Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians).
• BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and gather data.
• Administer medications.
• Render patient care and treatments under RN/Physician supervision.

Job Overview

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an LVN is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of geriatric patients are preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese highly preferred.
• LVN FLOAT POSITION: Current and valid driver's license and active insurance verification.

Compensation

Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly.

Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
