Job summary

CityVet in Westminster, CO is seeking Licensed/Registered/Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our caring team. You will support veterinarians, handle anesthesia, patient care, and daily clinic operations, while delivering compassionate service to clients and their pets.

The role requires an LVT/RVT/CVT license, at least 1 year of veterinary experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and solid knowledge of veterinary terminology.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Holds a valid State License as an LVT, RVT, or CVT.
• Understanding and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals.
• Knowledgeable on veterinary medical terminology and medication.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs independently.

Responsibilities

• Assists Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures; prepares clients for surgery and restrains animals as needed.
• Supervise unlicensed team members performing tasks such as suturing, inducing anesthesia, drawing blood, and collecting lab samples.
• Under supervision, assist with anesthesia, vaccinates, dental procedures, and other technical tasks as required.
