Job summary

CityVet seeks Licensed/Registered/Certified Veterinary Technicians in Westminster, CO to support veterinarians in medical, surgical and dental procedures. The role includes anesthesia assistance, animal restraint, and supervising junior staff while ensuring compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid State License as LVT/RVT/CVT.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary medical terminology and medications.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including anesthesia and proper patient handling.
• Supervise unlicensed team members performing suturing, anesthesia induction, blood draws and lab sample collection.
• Under direct supervision, may suture wounds, induce anesthesia, administer vaccines, extract teeth, or perform euthanasia when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of state regulations and safety standards while delivering high-quality patient care.
