Job summary

Petco Westminster, CO seeks a veterinarian to join its Vetco Total Care hospital team. You will provide high-quality medical care, perform anesthesia and routine surgeries, and collaborate with a compassionate team to support pets and their families.

You’ll lead patient care, communicate clearly with clients, and participate in ongoing education to advance veterinary medicine within a world-class veterinary network. A DVM and active state license are required.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited school and active license in the practice state.
• Current DEA license and CPR/DEA compliance where required.
• Ability to perform anesthesia and routine surgeries (canine/feline).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team.
• Compassionate, team player with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters and mass removals.
• Perform dental procedures including evaluations, extractions, and oral surgery.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with referral hospitals as needed.
• Document observations and diagnoses in the medical record with clear communication to clients.
