Job summary

CityVet Davenport is hiring Licensed/Registered/Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our compassionate team. The LVT/RVT/CVT provides essential patient care and supports the Veterinarian to improve efficiency in daily practice.

Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, restraining animals safely, and communicating clearly with clients. We offer a supportive, pet-focused culture with opportunities for growth and advancement in a vet-led clinic.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at the time of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary industry experience.
• Holds a valid State License as an LVT, RVT or CVT.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical and dental procedures; prepare clients for surgery and restrain animals as needed.
• Supervise unlicensed team members performing tasks such as suturing, anesthesia induction, blood draws and lab specimen collection.
• Under direct supervision, may suture skin incisions, induce anesthesia, administer vaccines, extract loose teeth or fragments, and perform euthanasia as required.
