Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Colorado is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. You will support veterinarians, educate clients, and help deliver exceptional patient care onsite.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams and surgeries, maintaining medical records, and helping manage daily hospital operations. A CVT/RVT/LVT license is preferred and prior hospital experience is valued. This is an on-site role with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred.
• 1+ years veterinary hospital experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian.
• Prepare and analyze laboratory samples and operate equipment.
• Assist in surgical suites and monitor anesthesia.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical charting and hospital records.
• Contribute to hospital operations and equipment maintenance.
• Triage calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient intake/discharge.
