Small Door, a members-based veterinary care provider with 24/7 telemedicine, is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our DC-area clinics. You will triage patients, assist veterinarians, and help maintain a hospitable, Fear Free environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year GP LVT experience, are comfortable with digital tools, and can work weekends. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and career growth within a rapidly expanding network.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a LVT in a GP setting.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Strong lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
• A thoughtful and fearless team player.

• Skilled at communicating with clients.
• Passionate about pets.

Responsibilities

• Triaging.
• Knowledge and ability to recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assessing patients.
• Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics.
• Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor.
• Basic husbandry and nursing care.
• Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care.
• Taking blood.
• Placing catheters.
• Assisting in and facilitating radiography capture.
• Preparing samples for outside reference labs.
• Running in-house labs.
• Preparing medications.
• Administering medications.
• Additional responsibilities to maintain a hospitable environment.
