Job summary

Small Door is a membership-based veterinary care practice offering 24/7 telemedicine and modern hospitality. This role supports our nurses in state-of-the-art clinics across the East Coast, with a collaborative doctor:nurse team and Fear Free approach.

As an LVT, you will triage, record vitals, assist with diagnostics and treatments, and help maintain a stress-free environment for pets and clients. Weekend availability and comfort with computers are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of LVT experience in a GP setting.
• Strong communication with clients and team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Triaging
• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
• Assessing patients
• Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
• Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
• Basic husbandry and nursing care
• Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care
• Taking blood
• Placing catheters
• Assisting in and facilitating radiography capture
• Preparing samples for outside reference labs
• Running in-house labs
• Preparing medications
• Administering medications
• Additional responsibilities to maintain a hospitable environment
