Job summary

Small Door, a membership-based veterinary practice, is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Bethesda, MD team. This role supports doctors in a state-of-the-art facility, with a strong emphasis on Fear Free care, high staffing ratios, and 24/7 telemedicine.

You will triage, record vitals, assist with diagnostics, radiography, and labs; lift up to 50 lbs; weekend availability; friendly, client-focused communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an LVT in a GP setting
• Weekend availability (Sat or Sun)
• Comfortable with computers and online tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Strong communication with clients

Responsibilities

• Triaging and assessing patients
• Record vitals and assist with diagnostics
• Prepare medications and administer them
• Assist with radiography and in-house labs
• Provide compassionate care and maintain a hospitable environment
• Basic husbandry and nursing care
• Take blood and place catheters
• Assist in and facilitate radiography capture
• Preparing samples for outside reference labs
