Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians, educate clients, and deliver compassionate patient care onsite. The role involves handling exams, lab work, and assisting in surgeries while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring equipment readiness.

You will educate clients on wellness, nutrition, and preventive care, and participate in reception duties like scheduling and triage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CVT, RVT, or LVT certification preferred.
• 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring under supervision of a veterinarian.
• Prepare and analyze laboratory samples; maintain records and equipment.
• Prepare surgical suites and assist during procedures; monitor anesthesia and post-op care.
• Educate clients on Wellness Plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain thorough medical charting and ensure hospital equipment readiness.
• Assist in triaging calls, scheduling appointments, and patient intake/discharge.
