Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. You will support veterinarians, educate clients, and provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include exam support, lab analysis, anesthesia assistance, and maintaining medical records. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred and 1+ year of veterinary experience. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree a plus).
• CVT/RVT/LVT certification depending on state.
• 1+ year of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring under a veterinarian.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
• Prepare and analyze laboratory samples; operate equipment; record findings.
• Assist in surgery; monitor anesthesia; provide post-operative care.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and hospital records.
• Ensure proper maintenance of hospital equipment.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking.
• Support day-to-day hospital flow and operations.
• Triaging calls, scheduling appointments, and patient intake/discharge.
