VCA Sunrise Animal Hospitals in West Islip, NY is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our medical team. This full-time role requires weekend rotation and offers a competitive hourly wage with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• As a CVT/RVT/LVT, you have earned credentials and will bring clinical skills to our hospital.
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures and patient care is essential.
• Experience in a busy clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical examinations and patient assessment.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist during procedures.
• Prepare for surgery and assist surgical team.
• Perform dentistry and radiology procedures.
• Conduct laboratory work and venipuncture.
• Place catheters and manage patient recovery.
• Administer medications and provide compassionate care.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $26 - $32 / hr.

Schedule

Full time, weekend rotation required.
