Job summary

VCA Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury is seeking a licensed veterinary technician (or licensed eligible) to join our ER/ICU hospital team. You will perform anesthesia monitoring, drug dosing, diagnostic procedures, and collaborate with all hospital services to provide compassionate care.

The role offers $31.00–$37.00 per hour, a $4,000 sign-on bonus with a 12-month retention period, and a full-time weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician with current license or eligible for licensure in NY.

Responsibilities

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring.
• Ability to calculate drug doses.
• Full technician skill utilization.
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams.
• Venipuncture / IVC placement.
• Hands Free Radiology considered.
• Collaborating with team members across hospital services.
• Providing compassionate care for all patients.
• Imaging and advanced procedures.
• Paid on-call availability.

This role has a $4,000 sign-on bonus Bonus paid at 30 days and has a mandatory 12-month retention period
