Job summary

VCA Maple Ridge Animal Hospital in Southbury, CT is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are a 4-doctor full-service hospital offering primary and illness care, surgery and dentistry.

The position includes a Saturday rotation. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) or technician in training.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
• Must include a Saturday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
• Assist in procedures, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Administer IV fluids and CRI calculations.
• Perform Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging.
• Communicate with clients and discharge instructions.

Compensation:
