Job summary

VCA Commack Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at the East Northport location. The role involves assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures, while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients and educating pet owners.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician with surgical/dental experience.
• Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and venipuncture.
• Experience with radiology, lab work and client communication desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia monitoring during procedures.
• Assist veterinarians in surgical and dental procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and sample collection for lab work.
• Assist with radiology, patient care and recovery.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and education to owners.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $25-$30/hr
