All Friends Animal Hospital in Norwich, CT seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to work at the top of their license and lead clinical care. You will perform anesthesia, dentistry, in-house diagnostics, and patient nursing, under supervision as needed.

Your Role – Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently. You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, microscope use for cytology, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
• Patient Care: Understanding patient needs, patient restraint, vaccines and preventive care, administering injections (SQ, IM, IV), medication administration, client communication, record keeping and follow-up phone calls.

Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options and a predictable weekend rotation.
