Destination Pet LLC is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in New York to join our full-service animal hospital. You will work at the top of your license, providing anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and nursing care while supporting and mentoring the technical team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York state Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license.
• Proficiency in surgery and dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia and analgesia including multimodal pain management.
• Perform dentistry procedures and charting per DVM direction.
• Conduct diagnostic testing, radiography, and in-house lab work.
• Lead tech appointments, mentor assistants, and coordinate team huddles.
• Support growth paths and participate in skill checkoffs tied to ladder milestones.

We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.You will primarily utilize your skills in:Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.Growth & ScheduleGrowth Paths: Your career interests guide your path!
