Job summary
VCA Animal Hospitals Southeast is seeking an Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. This full-time position supports a busy emergency service with a focus on teamwork and exceptional client/patient care.
Ideal candidates hold CVT/RVT/LVT credentials and have hands-on experience in emergency or critical care settings, performing exams, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiology, and more to ensure top-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Credentials CVT, RVT or LVT preferred.
- Experience in emergency veterinary settings desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
- Monitor anesthesia during procedures.
- Assist in surgical prep and procedures.
- Provide dentistry services and radiology support.
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results.
- Collect venipuncture samples and place catheters.
- Administer pharmacy meds and manage meds.
- Support patient recovery and post-op care.
- Deliver compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
