Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers seeks a clinically skilled Therapist to provide direct therapeutic services within our behavioral health and substance use programs. You will conduct assessments, plan treatment, and deliver individual/group/family therapy on-site in Cathedral City, CA.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, ensure ethical and evidence-based care, and coordinate care across the treatment episode, including crisis intervention and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field enabling licensure as a clinician.
• Active license in California (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSW, or SWC).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical therapy experience in behavioral health/substance use.
• Residential/inpatient/detox experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; Kipu preferred.
• Knowledge of confidentiality regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using ASAM criteria and biopsychosocial evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions per program standards.
• Assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and ethical practice.
• Document accurately and timely; reflect progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with case management for discharge and continuing care plans.
