Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD seeks a Licensed Therapist (LPHA) for Children's Co-location in Pasadena to conduct independent assessments and implement treatment plans with fidelity. You will work with inpatient and outpatient teams to ensure services are properly authorized and delivered.

You may provide supervision and training at clinical sites, and travel to homes or other field locations, contributing to comprehensive care plans and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social, behavioral, or human services field.
• 2 years of experience in a mental health setting.
• Texas LCSW/LPC/LMFT license or eligible.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consumer progress toward treatment goals.
• Perform clinical assessments for diagnostic eligibility and needs.
• Provide CBT focusing on reducing symptoms and daily living.
• Provide crisis intervention to reduce symptoms and avoid admission.
• Deliver provider education on mental illness and medications using TIMA curricula.
• Coordinate access to care and services based on individual needs.
• Contribute to formulation of consumer’s treatment and service authorization.
• Ensure services meet eligibility criteria and are properly authorized.
• Advocate for consumer needs within Harris Center and community.
• Complete reporting and training timely.
