Licensed Therapist – Contractor (Hybrid Role)

Job Summary: The Licensed Therapist will provide high-quality therapeutic services at We Rise Up, LLC, ensuring compliance with Medicaid guidelines and delivering client-centered care. This position involves direct collaboration with the Clinical Director and staff to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions using evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide telehealth and in-person therapy services to individuals, families, and groups.
2. Conduct intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop treatment plans.
3. Use evidence-based therapeutic practices, including trauma-informed care, to guide interventions.
4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA, and organizational standards.
5. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and staff to ensure cohesive and effective client care.
6. Educate clients and families on recovery strategies, resources, and self-advocacy.
7. Participate in professional development, training sessions, and team meetings.
8. Provide crisis intervention and referrals when necessary.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy services, preferably in Medicaid or behavioral health settings.
2. Strong understanding of Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
3. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
4. Strong understanding of the recovery process and trauma-informed care.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related human services field.

Certifications: CPR, NCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications (Preferred)

Licensing & Insurance: Proof of Professional Liability Insurance. Full clinical licensure in North Carolina as ONE of the following:

1. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
2. Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
3. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
4. Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in a hybrid work setting, including telehealth and in-person services.
2. Familiarity with Medicaid documentation and billing processes.
3. Familiarity with community resources in North Carolina.
4. Experience working with underserved or diverse populations.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a mix of telehealth and in-person therapy sessions. The schedule is flexible, with occasional adjustments to meet client needs or attend team meetings.

Physical Demands: This position involves a mix of telehealth and in-person therapy sessions. Reliable transportation is necessary for travel to the office for in-person sessions.
