Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) to join our team. The LPHA will perform independent assessments, crisis and service interventions, and coordinate with psychiatrists and HCSD Medical Services at our Houston locations.

Requirements include a Master’s degree and current Texas licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW. Experience is preferred, with Monday–Friday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Texas licensure: LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience post-licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors consumer progress toward treatment goals.
• Performs clinical assessments to determine service needs.
• Provides crisis intervention to reduce symptoms and admissions.
• Offers education on mental illness, medications, and related skills.
• Coordinates access to care based on individual needs.
• Contributes to treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Communicates with consumers and staff with cultural sensitivity.
• Completes reporting and training accurately and timely.
• Adheres to productivity standards and agency policies.
