Job summary

Logan River Academy, LLC seeks an Licensed Therapist to develop, conduct, and oversee mental health services for students in a residential setting. You will implement individualized plans, conduct weekly therapy, and document progress promptly, coordinating with families and schools to support treatment goals.

Responsibilities include crisis response, collaboration with residential, medical and academic staff, and ongoing professional development to align with PBIS and school policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Current Utah therapy license (LMFT/AMFT/LCSW/CSW/ACMHC/CMHC).
• Able to pass a background check and work with diverse students.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops initial treatment plans and reviews weekly with staff.
• Conducts weekly individual, family, and group therapy and maintains progress notes.
• Prepares timely monthly progress reports for relevant parties.
• Communicates with prior treatment sources and consultants as required.
• Attends treatment team meetings and collaborates across staff.
• Establishes therapist/client relationships within 24 hours of placement.
• Gains support for plans and resolves policy conflicts diplomatically.
• Responds to crises and assists in crisis intervention.
• Uses counseling techniques aligned with goals and school policy.
• Notifies parents about health issues and coordinates visits per policy.
• Plans continuing care with family involvement and recommends placements.
• Treats clients with dignity and adheres to rights.
• Maintains annual trainings and certifications.
• Supports department goals and CQI initiatives.
