Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking a Senior Land Surveyor in Tampa to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying techniques on civil projects. You will plan and coordinate detailed surveying phases for projects of moderate scope and supervise surveyors, technicians, and others.

Seal professional surveying documents, interact with clients at all stages, and contribute to civil engineering projects with strong computer skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• PLS Licensure/FDOT Precertification required.
• 8 years of experience in Land Surveying.
• Strong Computer Skills, working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and Microsoft Office
• Prior experience with civil engineering projects preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of BGE employees, clients, and others

Responsibilities

• Lead or supervise survey team members and others assisting on assignments.

Job Description

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
• Plan, schedules conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the surveying work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope
• Perform work that involves conventional surveying practice but may include a variety of complex features
• Direct conversations with clients at beginning, during, and end of projects
• Capable of supervising or coordinating the work of surveyors, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
• Seal professional surveying documents

Job Requirements
