Job summary

BGE, Inc is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to independently evaluate, plan, and coordinate surveying activities for civil infrastructure projects. You will supervise survey teams and seal professional surveying documents.

Requirements include 8 years in land surveying, strong computer skills (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, MS Office), and excellent verbal/written communication to interact with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in Land Surveying.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and MS Office.
• Prior experience with civil engineering projects preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
• Plan, schedules conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the surveying work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope
• Perform work that involves conventional surveying practice but may include a variety of complex features
• Direct conversations with clients at beginning, during, and end of projects
• Capable of supervising or coordinating the work of surveyors, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
• Seal professional surveying documents

Job Requirements

• 8 years of experience in Land Surveying
• Strong Computer Skills, working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and Microsoft Office
• Prior experience with civil engineering projects preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of BGE employees, clients, and others
