Job summary

BGE, Inc. is hiring a Survey Technician to support land development, site development, and public works projects. The role combines office-based survey drafting with occasional field work under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor.

Qualifications include 2+ years in land surveying, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, and a willingness to work in an office setting with field exposure. Prior MicroStation knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of land survey experience in a Survey Tech capacity.
• AutoCAD Civil3D knowledge required.
• MicroStation knowledge (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus.
• Office-based role with occasional field work.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
• Create digital terrain models from field survey data
• Review and check work for quality control

• Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Specialized vocational training is a plus.
• 2+ years of land survey experience in a Survey Tech capacity. Sr level designation will be considered depending on years of experience and skill level.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D is required
• Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others
• Willingness and ability to be based in an office and do occasional field work.
