Job summary

BGE, Inc., a nationwide civil engineering consulting firm, seeks a land surveyor to join our Sarasota office on a combined office/field role. You will perform land and site development tasks under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of land survey experience; proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D; willingness to work both in office and in the field. We offer competitive benefits and strong career growth.

Responsibilities

• Combination of office and field work.

• Create digital terrain models from field survey data.
• Review and check work for quality control.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor.
• Identify possible problems and bring them to the supervisor’s attention.

Job Responsibilities

• Combination of office and field work

• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
• Create digital terrain models from field survey data
• Review and check work for quality control
• Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor
• Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Specialized vocational training is a plus.
• 2 +years of land survey experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others
• Willingness and ability to be based in an office and field work.
