Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole, MA is hiring a Licensed SPED Teacher (History/Humanities) for Clifford Academy. The role focuses on year-round education with individualized therapy and career development within a comprehensive program.

You will plan and implement IEPs, use behavior management strategies, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support student growth while engaging families in the educational process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in history/humanities required.
• Massachusetts Educator Licensure required.
• Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Special Education license desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) including curriculum and specific lesson plans.
• Implement behavioral management program within the classroom and participate in crisis intervention as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with collateral staff to support educational goals.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment and monitor student activities.
• May serve on department or agency committees and involve families in the educational program.
