Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers seeks a licensed SPED Teacher (Science focused) for Clifford Academy in Walpole, MA. This role delivers individualized instruction and supports students across diverse academic levels within a year-round program.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement IEPs, manage behavior, document progress, involve families, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment aligned with agency guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with science knowledge
• Massachusetts Educator Licensure required
• Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred
• Special Education license desired
• Experience in education or with the program population is highly desirable
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer; ability to learn new software

Responsibilities

• Implement IEPs and individualized educational plans.
• Apply behavioral management and crisis intervention within classroom.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and family liaison.
• Maintain safe, orderly classroom environment.
• Provide monitoring/coverage as needed and participate in committees.
• Communicate with and involve families in the educational program
