Job summary

River Rock Academy is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to guide students through intake, counseling, and goal setting. You will collaborate with families, districts, and a multidisciplinary team to create positive change for each student.

You’ll provide individual/group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management, documenting progress and coordinating with partners, while supporting transitions and discharge planning with trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field and current PA certification or licensure as a School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, LSW, LCSW, LPC, NCC, Licensed Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or equivalent credential.
  • Three to five years of experience supporting youth in educational, behavioral health, mental health, or human services settings.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations, student support services, behavioral interventions, and mental health systems.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, districts, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, including the ability to identify student triggers, implement de-escalation strategies, and foster positive student relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Guide students through intake, orientation, and goal setting as they begin at River Rock Academy.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management for assigned students.
  • Document all sessions, communications, and interventions using the school’s systems and complete required progress reports.
  • Lead and participate in review meetings, prepare and send communications for student attendance, progress, and discharge planning.
  • Work closely with families, community agencies, and school partners to coordinate supports and help students transition successfully.
