Job summary

Rivermont Schools in Kentucky is seeking a School Counselor to support students’ emotional wellness, behavioral growth, and academic success within an inclusive educational setting.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and clinical teams to deliver individual and group therapy, PBIS planning, and evidence-based interventions. A Master’s degree and licensure eligibility are required, along with Mandt certification.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development.
  • Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Active Mandt certification.
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement.
  • Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals.
  • Oversee PBIS planning, facilitate meetings, and provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior support strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and outside agencies to improve the quality of care and student outcomes.
  • Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele-psychiatry service as needed.

What You'll Need
