Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development.
• Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure.
• Active Mandt certification.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions.
• Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support.
• Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs.
• Oversee PBIS planning and provide guidance on behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and outside agencies for student outcomes.
• Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment.

As a School Counselor at Rivermont School, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional wellness, behavioral growth, and academic success. In this role, you will partner with educators, families, and clinical teams to create a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive. Your work will directly impact students with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs through compassionate care, collaboration, and evidence‑based therapeutic support.

What You’ll Need

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development
• Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure
• Active Mandt certification
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions
• Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings

What You’ll Do

• Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele‑psychiatry service as needed
