Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks a licensed Social Worker to provide psychosocial assessments, treatment planning and discharge planning at Central State Hospital. You will supervise a team, perform complex counseling, and coordinate community resources while ensuring quality care in a day shift (8am–5pm).

• Master’s degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent; or Master’s degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and two (2) years of related post-license experience.

Responsabilidades

• Acts as client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve crisis.
• Counsels clients in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life.
• Identifies environmental impediments to client progress through interviews and review of patient records.
• Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.
• Organizes support groups or counsels family members to assist in understanding and supporting the client.
• Performs clinical assessments of the behavioral health needs of clients seeking services.
• Provides case management services related to identified treatment needs.
• Provides training to direct care staff in implementing behavior modification techniques and treatment plans.
• Refer clients or families to community resources for recovery and access to services.
