Job summary

Elmwood Health & Rehab Center in Dayton, OH seeks a Social Worker to support residents' emotional and social needs under the Director’s guidance. You will help plan, implement, evaluate, and lead the Social Services Department while following all policies and regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, an active social work license if required, and LTC/behavioral health experience. English communication and teamwork are essential; full-time hours with competitive benefits are

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Worker in the state, if required by regulations.
• Must have experience in Long Term Care and behavioral health.
• Healthcare experience in social services, direct care, or hospitality is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assist the Director to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. You willassist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the community’s Social Services Department inaccordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures.Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Social Services Policies and Procedures.

Education and Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Work within the state in which you work, if required by state/federal regulations.

• Must have experience in Long Term Care as well as behavioral health

• Experience working in healthcare, either social services, direct care or hospitality, is preferred.

• Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Shift & Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available

• Shifts Needed: 8:00a - 4:30p

• Wage: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
