Hartford Public Schools seeks a Mental Health Clinician to provide clinical mental health services within the School Based Health Center at M.D. Fox School/Sanchez Elementary School.

The role requires a Master's degree in a related field and CT licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPC), with bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Ten-month work year; salary grid A506; report to Health Services Coordinator and Senior Executive Director of Special Education and Pupil Services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Licensed by the CT Department of Public Health as LCSW/LMFT/LPC.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience with school aged children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessment to students.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students and their parents.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Refer students to community resources for mental health services.
• Develop standard procedures to handle crises.
• Collaborate with School Based Health Center staff and other school staff.
• Serve as Field Instructor for student interns.
• Identify at-risk students and facilitate access to services.
• Document and bill for services; maintain records and monthly reports.
