PACS in San Diego, CA is seeking a Licensed Staff Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient care under the guidance of a Physical Therapist. You will record daily treatment notes, assist in maintaining the department, and participate in care conferences as needed.

Responsibilities include following the physician treatment plan, training Restorative Aides, communicating progress to supervisors, and assisting with equipment and procedures while ensuring positive interactions with patients,

Formación

• Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to relate positively with patients, families, staff and professional colleagues.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.

Responsabilidades

• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board.
• Assist in maintaining department.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.
• Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility.
• Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient’s families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
• Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues.
