Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Therapist with patient related activities and direct patient care. The role involves following the PT plan, documenting treatment notes, and communicating progress with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Assist in maintaining department.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.
• Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient’s families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
• Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.
