Job summary

Vivo Healthcare Lakeland is hiring a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support a Physical Therapist in delivering rehabilitative care. You will assist in evaluating patients, applying treatment plans, and guiding home exercise programs to boost mobility and independence.

You will document progress, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and uphold ethical standards while advancing your clinical knowledge through ongoing education with Vivo Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Licensed PTA in Florida as part of the role.
• Experience supporting physical therapy plans under supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist PT in assessing patients to develop effective treatment plans.
• Implement prescribed PT interventions to improve function and mobility.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises to support rehab.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to PT.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and comply with policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Attend team meetings and continuing education to stay current.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards.
