Job summary

Creating A Legacy Inc in Indio, CA seeks a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide direct clinical support to adults in residential group homes with complex needs. The LPT will help implement individualized care, medication and health-related plans while collaborating with DSPs, nurses, and clinicians.

This on-site role requires CA LPT license, strong communication, emergency readiness, and the ability to document health events accurately.

Qualifications

• Current and active LPT license in California.
• High school diploma or equivalent; behavioral health education preferred.
• Experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.
• Experience in residential, psychiatric, behavioral health settings preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to recognize changes and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to remain calm during medical or behavioral emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document individuals' health and well‑being.
• Administer medications within license scope and document accurately.
• Support implementation of health-related and behavioral plans.
• Document incidents and changes in condition in accordance with requirements.
• Collaborate with DSPs, nurses, physicians, and care teams.
• Respond to emergencies following crisis procedures.
