Job details:
- Area: Mental Health STRT Class: PSYL Shift:Tues-Fri 7am-5pm
Psychologist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and screenings.
- Provide individual and group counseling to patients with mental health and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral interventions.
- Assess patients for mental health conditions, emotional concerns, and behavioral issues.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation and patient records.
- Provide education and guidance to patients on coping strategies, behavioral health, and wellness.
- Follow applicable clinical, ethical, confidentiality, and facility standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Psychologist in a correctional setting.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
