Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Medford, MA for the 26/27 school year. This is a part-time private duty/1:1 nursing role supporting a local K-12 district.

You will work with experienced nurses and a team that understands school-based nursing, providing care, documentation, and collaboration with school staff. Prior school experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in MA.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Demonstrated competency in required student care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the student during the school day.
• Assist with chronic condition management and procedures per care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration as outlined.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities.
• Report significant changes to supervising RN and family.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in MA
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Trach/vent management and suctioning
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
